For the 17th year, the Screwpile Lighthouse Challenge regatta is
drawing boats and their crews from several states to compete for
prizes. This year, more than 100 boats have entered the race.
Spectators are encouraged to watch from Cove Point Beach. Parties
will be held each night at race headquarters, the Holiday Inn Select
in Solomons. There will be a cash bar and rock bands each night. 9
a.m. harbor start, 7 p.m. awards ceremony and 6-9 p.m. party, Sunday-
