Article: Partying hearty with Julius Caesar

If you're going to see "Julius Caesar," get there way before the Ides of March.

"Oh yes," said Helen Borgers, "you don't want to miss the beginning, because the beginning is spectacular."

Usually, what people remember about the Shakespeare play is the scene in the Roman Forum where the conspirators attack Caesar. Or maybe it's Mark Antony's famous oration that begins "Friends, Romans, countrymen, lend me your ears."

But the Long Beach Shakespeare Company's production, directed by Borgers in the company's 11th free summer Shakespeare festival, may change that.
