Lighter prime lambs rose in price at livestock sales at Canterbury Agricultural Park, in Christchurch, this week.

Lighter lambs sold for $110 to $118 and heavyweight lambs also increased from last week at $135 to $145, with the odd sale to $150.

Prime cattle prices were steady with steers at 185c/kg to 200c and sales rising to 214c.

Values: A lighter yarding improved in price especially at the lighter end. Heavyweight lambs also improved. The best lambs made $135 to $145, with the odd sale to $150, medium $125 to $132, and light $110 to $118.
