Health care firm on NYSE

HANOVER - Top officials with Conmed Healthcare Management will ring the bell this morning at the New York Stock Exchange to celebrate the debut of the company's stock on the market.

A provider of healthcare services to county detention centers, Hanover-based Conmed will begin trading under the stock symbol, CONM, when the NYSE Amex opens this morning. It will be the first listing on the exchange to use a four letter trading symbol.

Dr. Richard W. Turner, chairman of the board and CEO of Conmed, said the stock listing is consistent with the company's growth plan.
