Oshkosh -- Starting a clothing company might seem like a piece of cake for a couple of former executives from OshKosh B'Gosh and Kohl's.

But moving from corporate giant to small business has its own set of challenges, say Jim and Sandy Martin, owners of Green 3 organic apparel.

"It was the most brutal thing I've ever done," Jim Martin said cheerfully. "I wasn't ready for the culture shock of being an entrepreneur."

He left OshKosh B'Gosh, the children's clothing manufacturer, in 2007, a year after it was sold to Carters Inc. of Atlanta. Martin was executive vice president and general manager at OshKosh, where he reported directly to the chief executive officer.
