With $1.2 million a month in state revenue at stake, hundreds of video lottery terminals licensed to a Logan-based company accused of illegal gambling will stay up and running for now.

The West Virginia Lottery Commission had planned to take action Wednesday on whether to suspend Southern Amusement Co.'s license after tabling the issue last month.

But after seeking legal advice from the attorney general's office, commissioners said they chose to follow recommendations and delay a decision while a criminal trial against a former state delegate, Joe C. Ferrell, and his company is pending in federal court.
