Article: Should Md.-based Constellation settle or not? Two analysts disagree

Two analysts who follow Constellation Energy Group Inc. had contrary views Tuesday about whether the company should continue to attempt to reach a settlement deal with the state.

"I don't even think the company should be talking to the governor, and I think most of their large shareholders would support that decision," said Paul Freemont, an analyst with Jefferies & Co. Inc. in New York.

"We think that the company seems to be making every effort possible to resolve this amicably, but again, if they had taken our advice in that note that we put out, I frankly don't even understand why they would care to make the additional gesture," he said.
