Dorothy F. Woodell Harris, 82, of 1500 Fir Street, Waynesboro,
Va., died Sunday, July 19, 2009, at Augusta Nursing & Rehabilitation
Center, Fishersville, Va. She was born October 15, 1926, in High
Point, N.C., daughter of Nathan Burke Woodell and Madilene Sprouse
Woodell. She was a member of Wayne Hills United Methodist Church in
Waynesboro, a Sunday School teacher, a homemaker, a retired
secretary, and enjoyed bridge, art, cross stitch, knitting, reading,
and flower gardening. In addition to her parents, she was preceded
in death by a son, Glenn E. Harris. Surviving are her husband, Emory
G. Harris; a daughter, Barbara L. Allen and her husband, James C.
