Dressed in a Pirates uniform but no longer a Pirate, first
baseman Adam LaRoche had four innings to sit in the dugout at PNC
Park and reflect on the field of dreams -- albeit broken dreams --
in front of him.
LaRoche was traded during the sixth inning of Wednesday's game
against the Milwaukee Brewers. He was sent to the Boston Red Sox in
exchange for two minor-league prospects -- right-handed starter
Hunter Strickland and shortstop Argenis Diaz.
The mid-game move that LaRoche deemed "shocking" triggered a
plethora of emotions, most notably regret.
"It's disappointing that I couldn't do more when I was here,"
