A NEW company has risen out of the ashes of a family business which folded earlier this year - after almost 50 years of trading.

At the end of January, GH Anderson (Electrical) Ltd, in Riverside Road, Pride Park, went into administration after running into cash flow problems.

The firm, which dealt in the wholesale of domestic, commercial and industrial cleaning equipment, spare parts and accessories, closed down and 24 jobs were lost.

But now, thanks to the strong family unit behind the business, a new company has been for med.
