Article: Commentary: Nagin takes hard crash approach with Louisiana Technology Council rebuff

When Mayor Ray Nagin this month criticized the Louisiana Technology Council for claiming that someone with technical know- how intentionally deleted his e-mails, he also indirectly insulted two New Orleans companies and, some say, the city's entire information technology community.

The LTC, whose mission is to expand the use of technology to make New Orleans more competitive, was hired by the city to examine its servers to determine whether Nagin's e-mails could be recovered.

The mayor's deleted e-mails came to light after television station WWL sought access to them only to find out that most of his messages from 2008 had been deleted.
