Article: Rhys, five, is found safe after ten hours

A FIVE-YEAR-OLD boy was found safe and well last night after going missing for nearly ten hours.

Rhys Moorhead was found on a street in Middlesbrough yesterday evening after vanishing from his grandparents' home at 9.30am yesterday.

The youngster was last seen playing in his grandparents' garden, in Celandine Close, Marton, a suburb of Middlesbrough.

After eight-and-a-half hours, police issued a nationwide alert for the boy.

Scores of officers were called in as the search area was widened beyond Marton and a helicopter joined the operation.

Last night, shortly before 8pm, Cleveland Police announced that Rhys had been found safe and well.
