It's a dubious honor.
You sweat, you ache and in the end, you win a once forgotten
trophy salvaged from a closet. On top of the trophy - a lone tennis
shoe.
Surprisingly, the faculty and staff members of Chaffey Joint
Union High School District fight for it like teenagers over the last
piece of pizza.
This is the Chaffey Challenge, where every step is scrutinized
and calculated in a race toward the coveted, yet strange, trophy.
Here's how it works.
Each time you exercise - whether it's gardening for 30 minutes or
running a 5K - keep track of the time or distance and log it into a
software program started by the city of Rancho Cucamonga. The
