Anne Crumpacker Wade, 79, of Vinton, Va., went to be with the
Lord on Sunday, July 26, 2009. She was born in Roanoke, Va., on June
22, 1930, the daughter of Vernon and Dessie Crumpacker. She and her
husband, Orion Wade, moved to Staunton, Va., where they raised their
family. They retired to Smith Mountain Lake for 12 years before
moving to Vinton. Anne was known for her friendliness, selfless
generosity and radiant smile. She had a deep religious faith and
truly loved the Lord with all of her heart, soul and mind. She was a
faithful member of Barnhardt Baptist Church in Stewartsville, Va.,
serving wherever there was a need. She was a devoted wife and
dedicated mother, always putting the ...
