Article: Assessing one's moral standards worth the risk

It's risky to write about morality. Some of you won't read past this line.

But, don't worry, I'm not going to preach. That would be hypocritical. For I have failed to live up to my moral standards as much as any of you.

But it's a topic that should be pondered occasionally. What is our conscience telling us? Are we pleased with the decisions we've made lately? Does it even matter?

I believe it's important for you, as well as for those around you. If you never challenge yourself morally, you're more likely to slide, negatively impact yourself and set a bad example for your children or hurt other loved ones.

Perhaps if some politicians or athletes had assessed their moral standards a while ...
