EASTPORT - Just 12 days after being appointed the new director of
The Boat School-Husson, Clinton Tuttle resigned Wednesday.
He is being replaced by Robert Turcotte, a 1982 graduate of the
school
Tuttle, 65, of Perry is leaving for personal and health reasons,
according to Julie Green, a spokesperson for Husson University,
which took over The Boat School two years ago.
Tuttle is a veteran boat builder who taught the craft in
Washington County for nearly 15 years. Since 1995, Tuttle was lead
instructor and director of the boat-building, navigation and
seamanship program at Washington Academy in East Machias.
