Tom Watson and Greg Norman are playing in their third major in
three weeks, with both in the field at the US Senior Open, which
begins today at Crooked Stick Golf Club in Carmel, Ind. First they
played the British Open, then the Senior British Open. Watson
dazzled at Turnberry two weeks ago, holding the lead throughout the
week before losing a playoff to Stewart Cink. Norman fizzled at
Sunningdale, taking a one-stroke lead into the final round before
shooting a 71, the highest final-round score among the top 12
finishers. That opened the door for Loren Roberts, who beat Fred
Funk and Mark McNulty in a playoff for his second Senior British
