Myanmar to tender more state-owned buildings, land plots in Yangon

YANGON, July 30 (Xinhua) -- The Myanmar Privatization Commission will tender over 100 more state-owned buildings and land plots in the former capital of Yangon as part of its privatization program, the local Popular News reported Thursday.

The 147 state-owned buildings, workshops and land plots to be privatized are from the Ministry of Cooperatives and Ministry of Commerce lying in 21 townships, of which most are in the city's downtown areas.

The tender for Yangon's state-owned enterprises will be launched in the new capital of Nay Pyi Taw in the second week of next month, the report said.
