Colonial Heights After Prom group thanks community

To the Editor:

On May 16, Colonial Heights High School was transformed into the sights and sounds of New York City for "After-Prom 2009-New York, New York." After-Prom is a drug-free, alcohol-free event provided for senior students and their guests following the prom. This all night extravaganza was initiated in 1989 by Mrs. Diane Yates, a CHHS teacher. About 95 percent of the senior class attended this year's event. It was a huge success!
