Wilma Elaine (Dorsett) DeMatteis, 78, of Yakima, died July 24, at
Living Care Healthcare Center. She was born on December 24, 1930, to
Carl and Zelma (Ziff) Dorsett. In her younger years, she married
Phil DeMatteis and was widowed in her mid-50's. Wilma worked for a
number of years at Provident Industries.
Wilma lived in several group homes before returning "home" to
Living Care. She enjoyed people, prayed for and encouraged other
residents and their families, loved teasing and joking with the
staff, and they love her right back. She delighted in outings,
special events, activities and BINGO. She truly appreciated all the
Lower Valley Hospice people who supported her though her ...
