Danny and Aaron Schmidt always have their antennae out for bugs,
especially when they get around big, bright lights.
Loads of insects love the lights, and the bigger the better,
explains Danny, an 18-year-old in his 10th and final year of
collecting and exhibiting six-legged critters for the Vanderburgh
County and Indiana State 4-H fairs.
He and his 13-year-old brother, Aaron, who's been collecting five
years, are on bug alert wherever they go. Without even thinking
about it, they're looking and listening for moths, mantises,
beetles, butterflies, ants, crickets and other insects to display at
county and state fairs, where they've won a pile of ribbons.
