New ABA president from Buffalo
Buffalo native Carolyn Lamm, an international arbitration,
litigation and trade lawyer in Washington, D.C., took office as
president of the 400,000-member American Bar Association.
Miami lawyer Stephen N. Zack, a partner in the law firm Boies,
Schiller & Flexner, the ABA's new president-elect, is the first
Hispanic American to hold that post.
Lamm, a partner with the law firm White & Case LLP, is past
president of the District of Columbia Bar and was named one of the
50 Most Influential Women in America by the National Law Journal in
2007.
She has initiated a study relating to the impact of globalization
and technology and the increasingly global nature of law ...
