With more than 100 restaurants offering fixed-price lunches and
dinners at below-normal prices, dining out during the recession will
get a little easier when Baltimore Restaurant Week kicks off on
Friday.
The "week" is actually 10 days long, lasting until Aug. 16.
Participating restaurants will offer a three-course dinner for
$30.09 with some also offering lunch for $20.09.
The event, which is in its fourth year, is sponsored by the
Downtown Partnership of Baltimore Inc. and Visit Baltimore, formerly
the Baltimore Area Convention and Visitors Association. It kicks off
with a "Crab Soup Stakes" competition on Thursday.
