Article: Seljan Co. gets big gig Lake Mills manufacturer thrives in tough times by making plastic body for Guitar Hero arcade game

Lake Mills -- The folks at Seljan Co. Inc. are into metal, but the electric guitar bodies they make could be best described as heavy plastic.

Seljan, located in this Jefferson County village of about 4,000, is using a rotational-molded plastic manufacturing process to make guitars for the arcade version of the Guitar Hero video game.

The second-generation, family-owned company employs 65 people and is running 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Nimble enough to quickly adjust to changing markets and obsessive about quality, the company is growing even as other manufacturers have taken a beating in the economic downturn.
