(China Sports) Liu Xiang-absent China eyes one medal at Berlin
world championships

BEIJING, Aug. 5 (Xinhua) -- Chinese athletes will try to win one
medal at the upcoming world athletics championships to be held in
Berlin from Aug. 15-23, a top track and field official said.
Feng Shuyong, general coach of the Chinese national team, said
that men's 110 meter hurdler Liu Xiang will not defend his title in
Berlin since he is still recovering from an Achilles injury.
"The recovery of Liu Xiang is on schedule, but he is not ready to
compete at the world championships," Feng said.
