Gateway South, a large development site south of M&T Bank
Stadium, has been handed over to Baltimore City Entertainment Group
LP, one of the state's four bidders on slot machine gambling
licenses, making way for a larger slots parlor with a more visible
location on Russell Street.
The shift could pave the way for the company to install up to
3,750 slot machines, the legal limit for Baltimore. The company
applied in February to the state for 500 machines, but could ask for
more.
BCEG and the city will likely ask the city's Board of Estimates
to approve the location change, though no slots will be installed
without the approval of the Video Lottery Facility Location
