In her Aug. 6 letter, "Cool It With the Air Conditioning,"
Phyllida Paterson fell in line with the view in a previous article
that said men tend to lower air-conditioning temperatures to
uneconomical, eco-unfriendly and uncomfortable levels for others.
But let's not single out males in this dispute.
My wife insists on an A/C setting of 72 and 73 degrees. Otherwise
she is too hot, says she is "dying" of the heat at 75 or, perish the
thought, 78 ...
