Article: Tea Party movement gaining a profile in W.Va.

West Virginia's "Tea Party" movement has become a visible and vocal critic of the Obama administration, holding a series of protests around the state targeting the stimulus, pending federal cap and trade legislation and proposed changes to the country's health-care system.

That has gotten the attention of some Republican figures, who have courted or at least appear receptive to these voters.

A group launched earlier this year by state Republican Party activists, the West Virginia Conservative Foundation, has claimed credit for funding and helping to stage Tea Party protests.
