Celebrate Chefs V, held at three exquisite estates on consecutive
weekends, turned out to be the charity blockbuster of the summer.
While many South Bay groups work diligently to offer elegant
evenings for good causes, the Palos Verdes Art Center's Associates
support group went over the top for the fifth year to present not
one, not two, but three themed dinner parties, each with its own
celebrated chef.
The logistics of presenting these outdoor parties for up to 250
people each is mind-boggling - especially when you consider that
about 60 active members do everything from planning the parties to
finding sponsors and bartenders (usually husbands). Sharon Ryan was
