You don't need me to tell you we have an obesity problem in this
country. It has indeed received plenty of publicity - though
publicity alone is not going to cure it.
And, like so many other people, I am particularly distressed when
I see the pathetic figures of obese young people in our streets. It
really makes me wonder what shape society as a whole will be in when
these supersize kids grow up.
But I was intrigued to learn of the latest intervention in the
great fat debate. It comes, believe it or not, from Natural England,
an organisation which, assuming you've heard of it (and many of you
won't) you would probably think concerned itself with the
countryside, rather than the nation's ...
