You don't need me to tell you we have an obesity problem in this country. It has indeed received plenty of publicity - though publicity alone is not going to cure it.

And, like so many other people, I am particularly distressed when I see the pathetic figures of obese young people in our streets. It really makes me wonder what shape society as a whole will be in when these supersize kids grow up.
