DAVENPORT -- A single-propeller plane ended up in the iceplant
about 15 yards from the cliffs in front of Big Creek Lumber on
Sunday evening, after a pilot who stopped for an evening visit to
the beach apparently misjudged his takeoff.
The owner of the refurbished 1961 Skywagon 185 could not be
