Article: Former Monrovia 'Tax Doctor' facing more charges

PASADENA - A man already charged with embezzling money from the clients of his tax preparation firm was charged Tuesday with three more felony counts stemming from the same investigation.

Mark Colasuonno, former owner of the Tax Doctor in Monrovia, appeared in court Tuesday for the start of his trial but was arrested, handcuffed and led away after prosecutors filed several new counts against him.

Colasuonno had previously been charged with one felony count of grand theft by embezzlement, accused of stealing money from clients Paige Lopez, Frank Lopez and Felicitas Ayala.
