Miriam Hardesty Miriam E. Hardesty, 91, died August 10, at Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis, after a lengthy illness. She was born April 28, 1918 in Greenock, to Elbert H. and Elsie Hardesty Tucker. She was raised in Bristol, now part of Lothian, and attended the former Owensville School in West River. She married George J. Hardesty on September 10, 1938 and they lived and raised their family on their 'Security Farm' in Lothian. She worked as a bookkeeper for First National Bank of Southern Maryland, now a part of M & T Bank, from 1955 until 1970.
