Article: Officials discuss state budget

POMONA - The state budget, its impact on local government and state term limits where among the topics addressed by local, state and federal elected officials during a luncheon event Wednesday.

The luncheon, held at the Sheraton Suites Fairplex and organized by the Pomona Chamber of Commerce, drew about 100 people and included the participation of Rep. Grace Napolitano, D-Santa Fe Springs; Sen. Gloria Negrete McLeod, D-Montclair; Assemblywoman Norma Torres, D-Ontario; and Mayor Elliott Rothman.

Napolitano spoke about federal stimulus funding of which about $12 million are coming to Pomona, she said.

Napolitano said she's been asked if she will hold town hall meetings on health care.
