Psst. Hey, you. Yeah, you. You're not afraid of a little
saturated fat, are you? Good. Because Honeypie Cafe has some pork
fries you really ought to try. The 3-month-old restaurant has
cemented itself as a popular Bay View spot with dishes like that
appetizer ($9): The menu describes it as a "giant pile" of hand-cut
fries, barbecue pulled pork, cheese sauce, pickled jalapenos
(complete with fiery little seeds) for some crucial piquancy and, oh
yes, bacon -- a common ingredient here. It sounded like a hot mess;
the four of us at the table couldn't resist the fries' porcine
charms -- and it took the diligence of all of us to obliterate said
giant pile. Honeypie -- like sister restaurant ...
