Last week, Peterson Air Force Base and Tierra Vista Communities
officials joined to celebrate the opening of the first of 597 new
three and four bedroom homes to be completed on the Air Force base.
Another 54 homes will be renovated to today's standards.
Once completed, the six-year development plan will enable Airmen
and their families to enjoy 20- to- 40- percent larger homes with
upgrades including state-of-the-art energy efficient appliances,
spacious kitchens with islands, increased storage, roomier master
bedroom suites, home office space with technology niches and covered
porches to expand indoor/outdoor living.
