Chaska, Minn. -- Phil Mickelson could have used the distractions and concerns in his personal life as valid excuses for his poor performance at the 91st PGA Championship.

He was having none of it.

"My expectations are high," he said Saturday. "I'm disappointed with my performance this week regardless of what's going on, on or off the course. I still have high expectations."

Mickelson barely survived the cut, shot a third-round 76 and was at 8-over 214.

The golfer's wife, Amy, and his mother, Mary, both were diagnosed with breast cancer this summer. He took six weeks off after tying for second at the U.S. Open in June.
