Drug arrests

Annapolis police arrested three people - including two of Mayor Ellen O. Moyer's grandchildren - on drug possession charges after stopping two cars Friday night.

Police also later served a search warrant on an Eastport home occupants in both vehicles had visited.

Police said they had been watching an individual at a house at 1812 Bay Ridge Ave. as part of a drug investigation.

They were operating on a tip that Joseph E. Benda, 27, of that address, had allegedly been using and selling marijuana in the Annapolis area, police said.
