Akustica Inc., a South Side-based designer of innovative digital
microphones, has been sold to Robert Bosch North America of
Farmington Hills, Mich., for an undisclosed price, Bosch said today.
Akustica, which was founded in 2001, develops and sells a
complete portfolio of digital and analog micro electromechanical
microphones featuring technology that allows the integration of
various elements and integrated circuits on a single silicon chip.
