Skylar Powell went 13 years without any trips to the emergency room, a feat his mother found impressive considering his active lifestyle.

Veronica Harris-Powell often bragged about her son, who participated in sports like football, basketball, golf and motocross racing.

"He's a pretty active kid, and I had just said, 'I can't believe we've gone 13 years without a broken bone or a stitch,'" she said.

"I should've never said that."

She jokingly said she regrets the bragging because Skylar has ended up in the hospital on three separate occasions this summer alone.
