Article: CANTERBURY MEDICAL RESEARCH FOUNDATION; Open day shines light on health research

A rare opportunity to learn more about the wide range of health research being undertaken in Canterbury will be held at the University of Otago, Christchurch School of Medicine on Sunday.

The annual Health Research Open Day is a special event arranged by the Canterbury Medical Research Foundation (CMRF) to highlight the link between work in the laboratories and improved patient care. Entry is by gold coin donation.

"Medical research saves lives and this Sunday's open day allows the public a unique opportunity to look inside the labs and view displays and equipment and meet researchers," says CMRF director Guy Johnson.
