VLSP receives $25,000

Volunteer Legal Services Project of Monroe County Inc. will receive a $25,000 grant from the Allstate Foundation for "Nicki's Hope," a program that disseminates safety information for women in domestic violence situations.

Two representatives from the Allstate Foundation's metropolitan New York offices will present the check today during a VLSP board meeting.

"Domestic violence is a community-wide concern that VLSP takes very seriously," VLSP Executive Director Sheila A. Gaddis, a past board member of Alternatives for Bat-tered Women, said in a statement.
