It strikes me that guessing celebrities from their collections of
art might make good TV, if for a rather rarefied channel. So fingers
on your buzzers, girls. Who owns Bacon's 1944 A Study for a Figure
at the Base of a Crucifixion, Warhol's Little Electric Chair, Jeff
Koons's Moon (Yellow) and Richard Prince's Are You Richard? But I
see you hesitate. It's an unfair question, of course, since the
works could belong to just about anyone, or anyone rich enough to
pay for them.
Which makes the fact that they are actually owned by Damien Hirst
something of a shock. Or at least that's what I imagine the
Serpentine will be hoping. Hirst's collection, on view there, has
its very own name: not The ...
