Article: Danville's Tassajara Valley gets new school

The new school year comes with a new elementary campus for Danville's Tassajara Valley.

"I like the new rooms," said second-grader Mia DeGuzman, one among the hundreds of students, parents and employees celebrating the Thursday evening grand opening of Creekside Elementary School.

Aside from speeches from school district and local elected leaders, attendees were treated to hot dogs and tours of the school, the last in a series of new campuses spurred by housing development.

The school at 6011 Massara St. in the Alamo Creek development is north of the district's other recently opened schools in San Ramon's Dougherty Valley. It will open with the rest of the San Ramon Valley school district ...
