Article: Girl, 13, is victim in another teen train death in Palo Alto

Shock, disbelief and profound sadness rippled through Palo Alto on Saturday, as news spread that a 13-year-old girl stepped in front of a Caltrain Friday night and was killed in the same place two other teens died last spring.

"We are saddened beyond belief," said Joan Jacobus, a member of the Palo Alto PTA council.

Police did not identify the victim, who had attended Barron Park Elementary then Terman Middle School and would have started at Gunn High School as a ninth grader on Tuesday.
