ABINGTON
Strawberry Valley Golf Course on Route 18 has undergone changes
during the three decades it has been owned by the town of Abington,
but none as significant as the most recent changes initiated by new
management company CALM Golf Inc.
A nine-hole course on the Whitman/Abington line, the town
acquired the once privately-owned land for $750,000 in the early
1980s with the help of a state grant.
Since then, the town has worked with several management companies
operating under the direction of the town's parks and recreation
department.
CALM Golf owners Tony Morosco and Charlie Lanzetta, who entered
