Tour at twilight
Webster's New Collegiate Dictionary offers this definition of
Shangri-La, depicted in James Hilton's 1933 novel "Lost Horizon": "a
remote, beautiful, imaginary place where life approaches
perfection," and also "a remote, usually idyllic hideaway."
But for the "imaginary" part, that definition very well could
apply to Fallingwater, the world-renowned Frank Lloyd Wright
masterpiece near Mill Run, Fayette County.
The magical quality of the structure and its setting were
displayed to perfection during the 15th annual Twilight Tour and
Picnic Dinner on Saturday evening.
