Problem: A 'tow' stub

An Annapolis condo resident said he's had enough with what he calls is a "harassing" tow operator presiding over his community's parking lot.

Dan Bailey, who lives in The Gentry townhomes off Spa Road, said, among other tactics, ABC Towing has removed vehicles from the lot that had parking permits - and, beyond that, has actually broken into a vehicle with a "slim jim" tool in order to confiscate an allegedly fake permit.

"We have estimated that in 2008, ABC Towing made between $10,000- $15,000 from The Gentry alone!" Bailey wrote in a letter. "Believe me these estimates are not over-exaggerated and could be higher."
