ST. GEORGE, UTAH- LaVon Earl Lake, age 87, passed away Saturday, August 22, 2009, after an extended illness.She was born January 19, 1922, in South Weber, Utah, to Clarence Charles and Alice Myrtle Kendell Earl.

LaVon attended Davis High, where she was Student Body Vice President, graduating in 1940; Weber College, where she was Student Body Vice President, graduating in 1942; and Penn State University, where she was inducted into Phi Kappa Phi, graduating in 1957 with a B.S. degree.

LaVon married L. Bruce Lake on December 23, 1942 in the Salt Lake Temple. She was a loving mother to her two children, famous for her incredibly fast but well prepared meals. While ...
