A Crofton teen recently parlayed her artistic talent into an all-
expense-paid trip for three to New York City. Katherine Bobby, 16,
winner of a Maryland flag design contest, enjoyed a weekend in the
Big Apple in July with her mother, Sue Bobby, and Sharon Littig, her
art teacher at South River High School. The trip was sponsored by
Sargent Art, a Pennsylvania-based art and craft materials
manufacturer.
Earlier this year, Katherine was selected by the Maryland Art
Education Association (MAEA) as the state winner in an art contest
titled, "School Flags Across the U.SFlying High." The contest is
